The Audiolab 8000M is a timeless cosmetic elegance, combining a stunning blend of power and performance with beautifully understated aesthetics. Rated conservatively at 125 watts, the 8000M can deliver over 40 amperes of current. It has been designed to be doubled up for stereo power amplification, offering better performance than a single stereo power amplifier. It has parallel phono connectors, making it easy to connect several pairs of 8000Ms to any pre-amplifier. It is gain-matched to other Audiolab amplifiers, old and new, making it the perfect add-on for earlier Audiolab integrated and preamplifiers without having to worry about differing output levels. It also allows daisy-chaining of the units to further improve headroom in bi-amped and even tri-amped systems. Another special feature is the gain trim to scale the master volume taper to the source output voltage and speaker sensitivity.

The Audiolab 8000M has a great control over the bass at higher volumes. Sonic virtues include tonal neutrality, great transparency, excellent soundstaging. The depth perspective does not show the typical semi circle with its dark corners but rolls out the far left and right behind the speakers, creating great image specificity. It sounds smooth and somewhat warm in character. There are no special emphasis in the frequency band anywhere. It is very linear and transparent. Engineered and built to last with a good track record, the Audiolab 8000M is a very serious performer and one that should produce terrific dynamics, outstanding sound and reliable performance with most setups.
