Description : The Lecson Quattra Bi ampable intergrated amplifier is an extremely rare and very high quality piece of kit.One of the first amps from the Boothroyd Stuart stable that went on to become Meridian and built to the same standards of audiophile excellence. It’s two main features are that it actually has four proper output stages ( two per channel, one each for bass and treble ) which you can run bi-amped for speakers which have split crossovers with 2 sets of connections per speaker, like many modern speakers do, or bridge the outputs to run a more conventional single connection speaker setup. This has obvious advantages in sound detail as each output stage is doing the correct thing in its frequency range and not compromising for highs and lows. The next superb feature is that it has a switchable on board MC/MM phono stage. It also has quite a range of inputs, along with the dedicated MM / MC phono input it has inputs for CD, Tuner, Video, Tape and Aux. It has a Tape loop out and preamp outs also if these are required. It has controls for Volume, Balance input selection as well as Tape output selection as well as a Mono selector.
