Founded 25 years ago, Focal JM Lab has been a pioneer of great loudspeakers and fast becoming a world leader due equally to their reputation for design and manufacturing prowess. The JM Lab Focal Electra 1027 BE design enhances any decor rather than detract from it and will stand the test of time. Focal's W drivers consist of a foam core covered, usually on both sides, by a thin skin of woven glass. The cone material has an ideal ratio of stiffness and weight so the cone can act like a piston over a wide range of frequencies, allow quick acceleration of transients for the best reproduction of fine detail. This piston behavior is especially important for delivering ample bass with low distortion. The cone has internal damping to quiet any ringing in the vibration of the cone material, which would color the sound. The enclosure of the Focal Electra 1027 BE is made in the same factory as their Utopia series, resulting in an almost identical immaculate quality. The front baffle is rounded to to avoid diffraction.

The JM Lab Focal Electra 1027 BE sound fast, very detailed, extremely dynamic and let every emotion of a music piece come through in a breathtaking manner. They are very pure sounding, in particular in the highs and mids. The midrange is slightly on the lean side and not causing any congestion with the higher and lower frequencies. The beryllium tweeter is one of a kind, it is capable of producing a combination of lots of detail, extreme transparency and dynamics in the softest of ways. They handle movies very well, basses are tight and responsive with impact, movie moods will bring the viewer to its world. The JM Lab Electra 1027 BE can reproduce classic jazz, digital film soundtracks, classical masterpieces with absolute faithfulness to the original note and every shade of a tone so convincingly that it transports the listener to the event. It reveals soundtracks with new levels of resolution, revealing previously hidden content and emotion.
